I'm not sure what is happening to me! Please Help?!

Question: When I run, I have trouble breathing and I feel like my chest is tight and my throat is small. My mom said it's probably asthma, but I looked up symptoms and I don't wheeze or have to breathe really really fast. I just have to take really deep, long breathes for a while. My dad said it might be because I am out of shape, but I know I'm not because I run on my own 3 times a week, plus I have 4 soccer games per week, 3 soccer practices, and conditioning 3 times a week. Does anyone know what could be wrong with me?

It could be asthma. You don't necessarily have to wheeze to have asthma. When i found out that I had it, I was just haveing trouble with my chest feeling really tight, like I couldnt get enough air in.
Go see your doctor. I found that the inhailor that they gave me helped a lot, and I have been able to be just as active as before. It wasn't really a big deal once they knew what it was.
Good luck.

r u having a baby

You might have AIDS!

how about booking an appointment to see GP, he may refer you to have some chest x-rays done, this will determine whether you have any lung problems causing the symtoms you've mentioned. okay that way you wont be fretting.

allergies?

Try looking it up on webmd.com

It could be allergies. You say that your throat seems to get small, it's probably because you have allergies, so you might have an inflamation in your throat. Since not much air can go in, it makes your chest work harder, making it feel tired, or tight. If it's not allergies, it might be because (unless you live in a warm place) of the cold, that also messes you up. Maybe you just moved to a different climate, and you're having trouble adapting.
