Do i still have a speech problem?!
Question: ok im 12 and when i was little i had a speech problem i have gone to loads of speeh thearopies and they have all given me lessons n things n now they say i havent got a speech problem but my voice sounds like a babies voice ad i was talkin to a girl today and i said when i was little i had a speech problem and she says i still do what should i do go back to the speech theropist ??

I think you are over analyzing your self. Just go with the flow, so what if you sound different from other people? That's called individuality and it's what makes the world an interesting place to live in! People, particularly pre-teens and teenagers try so hard to be just like someone else in order to fit in. I think fitting in is boring, no one remembers " that person who's just like everyone else " but they do remember the one who's different, who stands out by embracing their differences and being proud that they can face the world head on!
So, sounding different isn't a problem, it's merely a difference. Don't waste your time trying to fit into other peoples expectations of you, grab life by the throat and get on with it!!!
How can I tell if you have a speech problem without hearing you talk?
well i would like talk to my parents about it and ask other ppl opinion who actually hear you talk...
Or just dismiss the girl as an insensitive twerp and go on. Ask your parents if they think you still need speech therapy. Your peers - at age 12 - aren't the ones who know what you need. Your parents are.
Having a speech problem and sounding like a little girl are 2 different things.
