Can anyone recommend a good vitamin/supplement for chronic fatigue?!


Question: B-12 lozenges (stomach acid destroys B-12, get the kind you suck on) 1000mg a day.
Folic Acid 800mg a day
B-6 500 mg a day.
DHEA 100mg a day.
works well for me.

Can't name one off hand, but anything w B12 in it.

Eating healthy foods, getting exercise, and sleeping well are keys as well.

I would consider a daily vitamin, the B vitamins are usually considered to be the fatigue fighters.

B-complex and vitamine C

There are a lot of different things that may help you.
When I was tired all the time, I had my blood tested, and I was put on iron pills. Having low iron is pretty common, it seems, since my diet wasn't balanced at the time and I was drinking a lot of tea, which can interfere with iron levels. Be careful of taking iron pills without talking to a doctor or pharmacist, though, because too much iron is a bad thing.
You could try just a normal daily vitamin and see how that helps, too. Also, as backwards as it seems, start getting regular exercise. Sometimes when the body isn't used to doing a whole lot it doesn't make excessive energy; if you start doing physical activities regularly, your body may wake up and start having more energy in general.
I'd talk to your doctor before trying anything much crazier than that. You don't want to hurt yourself.

If you are having trouble getting to sleep at night that may be the cause of your chronic fatigue, try melotonin for sleeping at night, if any thing get a regular daily multi vitamin
