Does any1 know how safe multivitamins are?!

Question: I never ever take any type of pills. Not even pain relievers. I just recently went for a check up and my Dr said that I was anemic. She said I had to take a multivitamin but I am scared of any types of side affects from any drug or pill. Are they safe? Should'nt I get enough vitamins from the food I eat all day?

Perfectly safe if you don't overload on them. Just take a comprehensive one-a-day vitamin/mineral pill with 100% of your RDA as listed on the ingredient section of the label.

yes. multivitamins are generally safe, unless you are overdosing. While it is true that you should get all your vitamins from the food you eat all day, sometimes it isn't possible to get the recommended dosages. Technically, a multivitamin does not even have to be a pill. I am sure you have had vitamin fortified drinks, etc.

Multivitamins are safe. I think anemic means you have low Iron in your blood? Find a vitamin with iron like centrum. You should have asked your doctor on which one to take.
