Help! I have a huge bump on my lip!?!
Question: It wouldn't bother me that much except it sprang up really suddenly. As in, I noticed it and fifteen seconds later it had doubled in size. It doesn't hurt but it feels like it's filled with a little bit of fluid. The pictures show how huge the bump is on the outside of my lip, but it's also on the inside. About 10 minutes before I got it, I had a little bit of milk (which I know was good) and a special K chocolate cereal bar which I have had before. What could this be? I have no idea how to make it go away so I'm just going to leave it for right now.

When I get that, it is because I bit it or my lips were very chapped and it filled... I am not sure why though.
holy crap I have the same thing Idon't believe this I just posted this a litle while ago. the weird thing is that it is the size of a marble, and there are 4 zits on my body that just doubled in size as well. I think it might be hives... I'm in NY where are you. THIS IS CRAZY it was really itchy and then now it's starting to be a little numb!!!! this is not a cold sore - this is some sort of allergic reaction.
that's a blister, happens with irritation/infection
there are creams for that in drug stores

When I get them, I use Morgan's Lysine lip balm or Blistex medicated lip ointment.
If it is a cold sore, be careful about touching it. They're pretty contagious. Apply Lysine or Blistex with a Q-tip so you don't infect the tube or get any on your fingers. Throw away your toothbrush after it heals.
