Finding a Good local doctor?!

Question: I have a friend who has just moved into Rushden, Northants and is looking for a new doctor, she wants to read up on the 2 she has names of. We googled variations on 'reviews (their name)' but nothing came up. I tried Trading Standards website that was rubbish.
Is there a special site I can visit or some key words that would help me get results on a search.

try NHS Direct or the GMC

Ask the local nurses, they'll know which docs are good and which are a**holes. You can stop by the local ER (when they're not too frenzied) to ask.
