Valerian Root, 500mg?!

Question: I got 500 mg valerian root but im not even sure if theyre working. I take one at night and dont really feel it. is 500mg the strongest? should i take more?

What are you taking it for? I would think that makes a difference.
I just checked on iherb and NOW brand Valerian recommends 2 of their capsules each day and 2 equal 1000mg
