What causes diarrhea?!

Question: I'm trying to figure out what causes my diarrhea. I get diarrhea 4-5 times per week, usually at night, but sometimes during the day. And almost always right after I eat.

Could it be from:

eating too much spicy food?
eating too much greasy food?
drinking too much milk?
eating too quickly?
not chewing my food?

Which one of these things do you think is most likely to cause diarrhea? I've narrowed my list of causes down to those 5 things, but there could be other reasons too. I don't really know.

It sounds like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), you need to be checked out by a doctor.

Lactose intolerance is my first guess. Get this checked. you're losing a lot of water and nutrients if this has been going on for years.

Try reading some info on celiac disease...diarrhea is one of the main symptoms.
When someone is diagnosed with celiac a lot of the time they also have lactose intolerance... but after they adhere to a gluten-free diet there bowel repairs itself and they are gradually allowed to introduce lactose back into their diet.
Read about celiac....

How long has this been going on? If it's real and painful;, it could as simple as a pill every day (see a doc). It sounds like you have a clue to the food you eat. It very well might be. I know people with "strange" stomaches that let everything out right after they eat because they are super paranoid of what just went in.

It is a year later-- no big deal. Try seeing a doctor.. Irrated bowl syndrum. that will be the problem with no cure. Then again you may have cancer... See the doctor...
