Why in some cases do you not feel pain until the evening time?!

Question: Have you ever had a body part ache, but it wouldn't ache during the day time? Why does this happen?

I am a hospice nurse and a chronic pain patient myself
I strongly believe that pain is always worse at night for two reasons
the first: at night there is less to stimulate your mind,
the second: the things we put our bodies through the day,
just day to day activities , shopping, you are lifting things and
bending etc.
all most all my clients have more pain at night, and i suggest that if they take pain meds to take them, and to keep your mind
busy, call a friend, watch a movie, play a game on the computer or
PlayStation etc. do a crossword puzzle, just try to keep your mind off it.
hope this helps

Yeah Billy, happens all the time, i think it has something to do with temperature and humidity also the evening is quieter and your body is calmer and more aware of pain at that time of the day.

during night, most people slow down or relax, this causes the pain to intensify,
if u cant feel it during the day, you jus might be blocking it out with other things that are on your mind

The most probable reason is that all day you remain active and your blood circulation is functioning like a well grease wheel. While at night, you slow down, you don't move very much, you sit and relax, then start the pain! You can remedy to this a little by sitting, or when you go to bed, uplift your legs with a pillow, that should help somewhat. If not, see your doctor about the problem.
Take care!
