I really like to use a vaporizer/humidifier- the moisture helps to open up passageways and loosen congestion.

Alternately, if you don't want to spend the money, you can boil some water on the stove, and then put a towel over your head and breathe in the steam. (Remove the pot from the stove and be careful not to burn yourself.)
