What is a day-time EEG like?!

It's really simple. They put this cloth cap on your head that has wires connected from it to a machine. You'll just lie there and you won't feel a thing. They may ask you to breath deeply or look at a flashing light. The whole thing can take up to an hour. I promise that it doesn't hurt. If anything, it may tickle a little bit.

During an EEG the technologist will hook up about twenty different wires to your head. They will then just have you sit there quietly and ask you to do some things such as just relax with eyes closed and eyes open. They may also have you do some rapid breathing (hyperventilation) to look for abnormal brain activity and like the other person said they will shine what is like a strobe light and thats basically it. It doesn't hurt whatsoever. You will be just fine and it takes about an hour. Good luck
