Numbness in hand?!

Question: My right hand is numb on one side--from the tip of my pinky finger down to my wrist. Does anyone know what could possibly cause this? It's not completely numb--I still have some sensation, and no other symptoms (no pain, etc.) It's more annoying than anything.

you have nerves in your entire body. somehow you must have hit your have or picked up something wrong and you hit that nerve. if it doesn't go away see a doctor.

see a doctor it is first sign of a stroke. unless it fell asleep.

possibly a bracelette pinching a vein...thats what happend to me...it wasnt on tight it just was pinching in the perfect spot.

I had a bad bout of carpal (spelling?) tunnel syndrome, 15 years ago--numbness and pain up to my elbow, especially at night--these are classic symptoms. Last year, I had what you describe, but there was some partial numbness in the finger beside the pinky. Apparently, this is also a classic symptom. I didn't make the connection myself, even though I had it before. I got it from years of working with my hands, esp. twisting/squeezing motions. When at its worst, even hammering would aggrivate it/bring it back. There is corrective surgery, but I've never had it done, and don't really feel I need to, but if I ever go back to hard-core handiwork, I might have to. Anyway, I think that's what you have

Could be Repetitive Strain Injury or Carple tunnle syndrome.
