My son isn't feeling well...symptoms are...?!

Question: He's 5. Fever of 101.5 ...complaining of a headache, has a little bit of a cough and a little runny nose. He's pretty much exhausted and hasn't really done too much in an hour. Took a 30 minute nap in the car on the way to the store and a 30 minute nap on the way home. Laid down on the couch immediately when we got home and dozed again. This is a kid who ONLY naps in the car!!! He hasn't moved from the chair. I gave him Tylenol about 15 minutes ago so hopefully the fever will go down...so what do you think this might be? Fatigue, cough, runny nose, fever and head ache, glossy eyes...any ideas?

Sounds like a cold to me, maybe a little viral infection. Strep throat, does he have a sore throat? If is fever doesn't break I'd call the doctor.

Sounds like a bad flu. Keep an eye on him and get him to the doctor as soon as you're able to

Hopefully this is just a virus, His fever isn't high but I don't like this headache and sleepiness in a 5 yr. old. I would call your pediatrician and see what he/she would want you to do. Give him plenty of liquids. Plz call your Dr. now.

I would call my doctor. Make sure you keep checing his temp.
I have found the best thing for cold symptoms is Triaminic cold strips not the nite time ones. These will help clear up his nose and help his cough. The best thing is to call the doctor and if he gets worse I would take him to the ER.
