What do you think is the greatest cause of stress for most people?!

Question: Stress is a part of day to day living. As college students you may experience stress meeting academic demands, adjusting to a new living environment, or developing friendships. The stress you experience is not necessarily harmful. Mild forms of stress can act as a motivator and energizer. However, if your stress level is too high, medical and social problems can result.

Although we tend to think of stress as caused by external events, events in themselves are not stressful. Rather, it is the way in which we interpret and react to events that makes them stressful. People differ dramatically in the type of events they interpret as stressful and the way in which they respond to such stress. For example, speaking in public can be stressful for some people and relaxing for others.

Both positive and negative events in one's life can be stressful. However, major life changes are the greatest contributors of stress for most people. They place the greatest demand on resources for coping.

Money

Other people! LOL! For me, it's my ex husband. But the most stressful are: Moving, Divorce, Death and Money. Have a good day

Money

the inability to cope with relationships! be it relating to people, money, work, etc etc!

for me debt and sorting my wifes visa out due all the illegals bumping costs up

bloody narrow minded kids( teenagers) thinking they know it all.big question to them no matter what they do and no matter what they say,us parents have been there got the t-shirt to prove it,we did it way before they think they invented it :)

Money, work and relationships.

money and not enough sleep

Money then relationships

Work

Having to take care of a chronically ill person 24/7. The loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, divorce, financial difficulties, strained relationships. Taking care of a disabled child and knowing that child will depend on you for the rest of his or her life and the chances a more likely they will out live you. My personal one, is the alienation of my youngest son who is 36yrs old, married and has two beautiful children. For reasons I do not understand, he wants nothing to do with any of his family and his wife has no family. A person who has to live with poor health or is chronically ill. Excessive financial liabilities. Having your grown children come back home for their parents to support and raise there children while they are being irresponsible adults.

modern life is the most stressful, i think.
even 6-7 yrs ago people were more relaxed and had time to talk, see friends, read, learn new hobbies, sing and what not.
Now, with all the gadgets we have and comforts there is no peace or time for anything.

what has happened, i wonder where humanity is going really??

work, money, relationships
