I would be checking often and i would be alternating med First tyleno and the next time motrin
that works alot better
but I wouldnot let it get any higher
her fever is probably getting ready to peak
but I would call the Dr.
and ask what they would like you to do
you can call the hospital and they could tell you if they think you should bring the child in

take her now

they don't even want to hear from yo until it is 104-very high for an adult, but tolerable for a wee one!

Take her to the ER.

Even if the medication lowers it temporarily, it'll go up again. Take her.

Better safe than sorry.

If your baby is that young and the temp is 102 you should definatly go. To be safe at the least.

well 102.1 is pretty high. If it gets any higher then 103 i would at least go see a docter.

You could call "Ask a Nurse" in your area and see what they think. If it gets to 103 or lingers for a very long time, go to the ER.

call the doctors or hospital and ask them if you should bring her in and what to do.

you should go now.
it'll get worse.

Not if she's sleeping okay and keeping the meds down, I wouldn't take her for just a 102 temp. she'd be exposed to worse crap in the ER. If she's still sick by morning, call her pediatrician.

I hate the ER!
you go once they said the fever needs to be 103. you take them again when is 103 and they tell you to come back when its 105.
But yeah it has to be between 103 and 105.
Give your baby lots of fluids like pedialite.

continue giving her the tylenol or motrin. if her fever lasts more than a couple of days, take her to the doctor.

When my daughter was a baby she ran over 103 fever for most of a day. I called my doctor when I got nervous that it had been so long. He told me to put her in a tub with luke warm water to bring down her fever and to give her tylenol and motrin every 4 hrs (switching each time). I would definitely say to call your doc before you go to the emergency room since you will probably have to wait a while in the er and it may be unnecessary stress for both you and the baby. Good luck.

I would take her because it's over a 100. Any higher could be dangerous. Does she have any other symptoms? I would definitely get her seen even if the medicine does lower the fever. She could possilby have an infection (viral or bacterial).

Actually 100 is not a good indicator for the ER - You should try calling the Doctor - many communities have an on call nurse number in my town it is called First Nurse. This is a good resourse for this type of question. Remember that a fever has a job to do. As long as it doesn't go too high, and a health care provider should be the one to tell you that. Good Luck.

Its not a fever or a bad fever unless it reaches 101.1 but if the meds bring it down but not for lone try puting Ice in a bowl add water so its freezing water with a towel, put it on her NOT ON HER HEAD neck, back of the neck and under arms do this for 15 min, take temp evety 30 min write it down if it goes down 1 whole dgree take it every hour then if it doent help take her to the ER but dont worry I work with 17 infants and 19 toddler on a daily basis I see this all the time NO MORE MEDS ,
good luck hope she feels better
Dont let her fall asleep it make it worse.

YOU DO NOT need to take her to the ER over a 102 reading... Pick up the phone and call the ER and ask and they will tell you the same thing. Now, if the fever is not responding to medicine or if it has been three days she needs to see a doctor. A little bit of fever doesn't hurt them but can be good because it means their immune system is working and fighting off the infection. If something isn't red or swollen just let it ride.. You can combine ibuprofen and Tylenol to get it down and that's exactly what they do in the ER.. Good luck and call her doctor in the morning and go ahead and call the ER to set your mind at ease for now.. Keep an eye on it and when it goes to 104 have your keys handy...

Watch the medicine you give her and not any less then 4 hours apart. if you take her to the ER they will put her in a bath tub with cool water to drop her temp. You can do the same thing at home. Start out with luke warm water it will feel very cold for her sorry. Then add cold water and swish around the water to even out the temp. Her head is best and if she will lay down in the water its even better. Keep adding cold water, I know, she will probably keep crying but that's OK keep going better from you then to have a bad experience at the hospital. Be sure and dry her off really well so she is not wet.. A diaper and a lite Cotton sheet is all she should have to prevent a draft on her. Monitor her temp often and check her again when she has been comforted by you and is calmer. You should be able to drop her temp by 3-5 degrees or more. repeat as often as you need to if temp persists take her to DR. Hope this helps

You need to take her now. When it gets over 100, thats when.
