Why do mosqitos tase like new medicine?!

Question: Or, if you really want to consider...why are you tasting mosquitos and new medicine, to make the comparison? ;-) I would think they'd taste like a little bit of blood, seeing as how that's what they carry. Though I'm not fond of tasting other people's blood, so I guess I will never know why mosquitos taste like 'new medicine'.
