Eating healthy for life.... Good book/advice recommendations!?!

Question: I've really been thinking about things, and I realise that most of my problems would most definately come down to poor diet and my attitude towards food and exercise.

I do suffer depression, but no longer take medication for this (*Zoloft for 4 years, gave it up last year)...
Lack the sex drive, but did used to have one...
I over eat - and am sure I have a severe sugar addiction.

I also feel unhealthy.. clogged up inside - and have a tummy that makes me look about .... 9months pregnant, even though the rest of my body is in proportion (plump though).... My bloating is so chronic that I look funny in appearance.

Help!

Usually losing the sex drive and having a sugar addiction is very much related. The sugar addiction is typically a magnesium deficiency and the lack of sex drive is due to a fat metabolism problem. If you don't get the right kinds of fat into your body, your body cannot make endocrine hormones.

Man has been doing agriculture for about 12,000 years. Our genetics have only changed about 0.1% in those centuries. Sugar has only been around for about 400 years and in the last 100 years, refined sugar, white flour, and hydrogenated oils have entered the food chain.

Our bodies were not designed to eat refined sugar. When you eat it, the body goes to work and does it's best to deal with it, but it causes the body to be stressed. When you eat refined sugar, it feeds yeast and parasites a good meal and then is converted to glycogen and stored in the liver for use later. However, your liver is not designed to take in huge amounts like Americans eat, so the sugar gets into the blood stream as glucose and the pancreas is called upon to produce insulin to unlock the receptor cells to let the glucose in to be converted by the mitochondria to produce ATP for energy use. The big problem is that these cells get tired when too much sugar is dumped on them, so they get resistant to the insulin and reject the glucose. This causes the body to think it needs more insulin, so it puts a huge demand on the pancreas to produce more insulin. At the same time, ancient man only had this happen in moments of severe stress, so the body thinks it's in a flight or fight mode and it causes the adrenal glands to use up the body's store of pregnenalone to make cortisol to deal with the high stress.

Now, the liver that is supposed to make sex hormones and thyroid hormones that are both steroid hormones stops doing this and prioritizes itself to deal with the stress instead.

So not only do you have a blood sugar issue, but you now have a hormone issue because of this. Typically, the American diet includes lots of carbs, low fat, and this just adds to the problem. A sure fire formula for getting diabetes type II.

Additionally, the body needs lots of stomach acid to digest food, kill bacteria, and set the stage for the digestive process to happen so nutrients can be absorbed as well. The body is also very much regulated by the biofield and the quality of the food you eat. When all this is out of balance, the body is in a state of chaos and disease and mental issues become the order of the day.

When you eat the wrong fats and not enough of the right fats, your body develops cravings and you learn that when you eat sugar and carbs, you feel energy. That is just very temporary energy though and only lasts a few hours. Carbohydrates are like the kindling on a fire, they just start the fire. The fats are like the big logs that give you sustained energy. Proteins are necessary for making enzymes and long term energy stores. The excess sugar you eat just goes to stored fat that is very difficult to get rid of.

There are two books I would strongly recommend you purchase and read. "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon and "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, Ph.D. Both of these books will give you a basis for understanding what you need to do on the nutrition side.

The bloating and stomach you talk about is primarily due to bad digestion. The lack of stomach acid is causing your food to rot, putrefy, and ferment in your stomach and will lead to acid reflux and lots of toxins being released into your system causing diarrhea and constipation bouts, not to mention low energy.

You need to eliminate ALL vegetable oils like Canola, Soybean, Cottonseed, and Corn oils, ALL soy products except for fermented soy like that in soy sauce and miso, ALL HYDROGENATED oils, All sodas, etc. All these things contribute heavily to making you sick and unhealthy.

One Big Gulp Soda (64 ounces) contains 416 grams of sugar. 454 grams = 1 pound. One Yoplait yogurt contains 27 grams of sugar and bacteria that are typically dead when you buy it, pure junk. All the pasteurized dairy products contain huge amounts of dead bacteria bodies and about 2% of a bacterium that is still living that is found in 92% of ALL crone's disease victims. The food supply in America is also "encoded" because of all the scanners now being used. This encoding causes the energy of foods, drinks, etc. to be very low and does not contribute to making you healthy.

It's very difficult to be healthy in America today. When you eat food you buy in the Mausoleums where dead food is stored, you cannot expect to be healthy. Even health food stores contain lots of poor quality stuff as well. It's no wonder you have suffered from depression, your body is begging you to treat it well and when you don't it fights back, but not before it gives you several wake up calls.

Buy those books and then e-mail me if you are interested in learning more about what is good for you. It's not easy to figure out what to eat in America, but with a little knowledge and understanding of how the body works you can do quite well, but forget about the so called "food experts" because they are just "hired guns" from the food industry dressed up to look like good guys, but are basically ignorant and just kennel dogs doing what they've been instructed to do.

Learn to pray each day that God will teach you to be free of the lies you have learned to believe.

I have many suggestions for you after you read the books above.

good luck
