Dizzy in the Morning?!

Question: When I get up, I'm fine. When I shower and change I'm fine. When I get outside, I get dizzy, lose balance and can't walk or stand straght. Any ideas of how I can fix this? Please don't say "Talk to a doctor" this is Yahoo answers, not Yahoo advice. Thanks in advance!

Chrys is exactly right...could be any of those situations and no "right answer"!!. There's not enough information in your note. If a doctor isn't an option what about a clinic ? Are you eating breakfast before you head out the door? Did you have a hangover from drinking too much the night before?

Where is "outside" - are you in the city? a country town? is there a lot of smog? dust? allergens like animals outside?

I'd start with a couple big glasses of water and some fruit first thing in the morning, get your system rehydrated. I'd also suggest that you get a decent breakfast first thing with protein, within 30-45 minutes of waking up, and see if that helps. If you are eating properly, not drinking booze, drinking plenty of water (by "plenty" a place to start would be say 18 ounces of water. Some research indicates 1/2 oz of water for every pound of body weight so if you weighed 200 pounds, drink 100 oz of water during the day (not first thing in the morning but certainly a good glass or two in the morning to get the system rehydrated).

You can google dizzyiness too... but again - there's just too many severe problems that can have dizziness as a side effect - it can even be a side effect of medications you may be taking and you haven't mentioned that too.

Sooooo hard to tell you how to "fix" something unless others have a clearer idea of what ELSE is going on in your daily life.

I found this one "symptom solver" and it does ask a whole list of alternative symptoms (like the balance, etc. that you mentioned) and then has kind of an ongoing list of possible conditions that might be causing your situation - ranging from hearing loss (which is an issue I am actually familiar with due to deafness and friends who are deaf), Vestibular Neuronitis,
Labyrinthitis, head injury, stroke, etc. so

here again! get a doctor's advice!! I know it's not your preferred answer...

could be an inner ear problem...
could be blood pressure
could be diabetes
could be low blood sugar
could be sinus problems

Check your cholesterol.

Sounds alot like anxiety attacks...
