HELP- should we call the police?!

Ok heres the story (gross and disturbing) We are 14, 14,and 16 and so yesterday we went sledding at our neighbors hill like we always do and "Jamie's" best friend's sister "Megan" was there. She is 8 and acts really young. It was only us and her. After sledding for awhile we sat down. "Carol" picked up a random piece of icey snow and Megan looked at it and started to laugh. We asked what was so funny about it and she was saying weird answers like birds but then she said it looked like a penis. After asking how she knew what that looked like she said the art musaum. After a long pause ahh i have to make new ? please clink URL in a few minutes it will be there! Thank you

This is VERY disturbing to say the least! It needs to stop immediately! Is difficult to know what to say without knowing the family and your relationship with them. However, If it were me, I would tell my parents first. If you know where this little girl goes to school, I would go with a parent to talk to the social worker, counselor, or school nurse. They are obligated by law to call the proper authorities. When they call the authorities, they do not tell the parents in the case that the parent/parents may know or what the parents might do if they found out. It's also possible that this brother may also be a victim of some sort of abuse, since you said this has been going on for several years and at the young age of 5, I doubt kids would know enough about sex to act that way. You girls are doing the right thing in reporting this. I hope this helps.

yes you should try social worker cause thats wrong and you know it if you don't you might as well be the one doing it cause not saying any thing is saying it's O.K.
I would talk to the parents, and if the parents dont do anything than you should call the DCFS or whoever takes care of child abuse in your state. You can also call a national child abuse hotline 1-800-4-A-CHILD, they will contact the proper authorities..
I would report it. You should call the police but ONLY if you absolutely believe it is true. If this is made up you can ruin someones life. But if it is true you need to help this little girl. I would call either 911 or look up child protective services in your area the number sdhould be in fromt of the phone book. I am so sorry for this child and for you to be put in this situation but you have to help this child. Good luck

You have to tell her parents. And if they don't want to listen or seem to want to deny the whole thing, then you should get a social worker involved. This is a serious situation, and this poor young girl is being abused. The boy needs to be taken out of the home until he is rehabilitated and will not be a threat to her any longer. It is hard to imagine that this has been going on for so long and noone knew anything about it before now, but nonetheless, you were given the responsibility to help this little girl. So, I don't know, I'm thinking maybe you should have another adult with you, considering this may be a shock to the parents, and they may not take it too well, you don't want them taking it out on you. I would say, bring your own parent or a social worker along. And do it quickly so this won't happen to her anymore.
Anytime that you think sex abuse is going on, you need to call in the police.
I was sexually abused by my dad from the time I was 2 until I was 12. I wish someone would have said something to police. I thought it was normal until I was older. I never liked it, but I thought this was something that all dads did to their daughters. My little sister was also abused by my dad. I know someone had to suspect the abuse, but they never asked and never reported it. I still have issues with it and my marriage pays for it.
Please help your friend's sister out and report this! Don't wait any longer.
