cigarettes are bad for lungs mouth and heart. Marijuana has tar but if you smoke it in a bong then the water helps purify alot of the tar and other stuff.
1) Most marijuana smokers smoke the bud, not the leaf, of
the plant. The bud contains only 33% as much tar as tobacco.
2) Marijuana smokers do not smoke anywhere near as much as tobacco smokers
3) Not one case of lung cancer has ever been successfully
linked to marijuana use.
4) Cannabis, unlike tobacco, does not cause any narrowing of the small air passageways in the lungs.

Cannabis is also radically different from tobacco in that it
does not contain nicotine and is not addictive. The psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, THC, has been accused of causing brain and genetic damage, but these studies have all been disproven.
In fact, the DEA's own Administrative Law Judge Francis Young has declared that "marijuana in its natural form is far safer than many foods we commonly consume."

Smoking Marijuana is equal to 20 cigarettes in terms of risk of lung cancer according to a recent study.

So Marijuana is worse opposed to popular belief.

Depends on which part of the body your talking about. Cigs are worse for your lungs/ mouth and the MJ is worse for your brain and nerves system

chemically, cigarettes are worse for you, definatley!
marijuana is a plant... that grows naturally out of the ground and it smoked that way.
nicotine and other chemicals are added to cigarettes.

Yes.

Inhaling smoke is never good for you. Inhaling cigarette smoke is worse mostly because of all the added chemicals and the fact that it's physically addictive.

If you were to eat marijuana (such as in a brownie), it would not harm your health in the least. The brownie wouldn't be too great for you, but the pot would have no negative effects.
