Once the damage is done, is that it???!
Question: I used to take amphetamines daily for about 9 years, from the age of 18-27. I also used e's,coke many other coctails, I had a serious problem, this I now know!!!
During this time I hardly ate anything maybe the odd slice of toast every other day and slept every other night!!!
I am clean and have been for 3 years thanks to Mr Nice (he saved me from myself)
I now understand the ways in which I was damaging myself, but what I want to know is have I damaged myself for life or is the damage reversable??
I understand that in a 6-7 year cycle all cells in the body are renewed, does this mean in time I will not have any lasting effects??
I can not believe how stupid I was, denial is a very strong frame of mind to be in!!!!
Thank you in advance for your advice ;0)

Well firstly congratulations for staying clean. I know it's a long hard journey but you made it.
As for irreversible damage I would speak to your GP and ask for some blood tests to be done to check your renal and liver function as well as bone etc.
It's easy for any of us with no drug problems to be critical BUT you have done well to stay clean. Keep it up as your body will benefit further.
See your GP and ask him all you want to know.
You are welcome. Try not to focus too much energy on berating yourself over the drug use. That part of your life is finished now and all you have to do now is focus on your continued recovery.
Well done. Report It
