Is there an illegal use for this prescription drug?!

Question: I found an unmarked packet of prescription drugs on the street near my daughter's home. They have been identified as "Metoprolol Tartrate". We know that they are frequently prescribed for asthma and heart issues. Could there a reason that they might be used illegally, too?

After much research I have found that Metoptolol Tartrate tablets are used to treat high blood pressure and heart disease. It is not a Narcotic, nor does it have tendancies that would cause it to be used in the 'drug culture'. However it does need to be turned-in because anyone on this medication MUST NOT stop taking it. It could cause blood pressure to skyrocket or even a heart attack.

There could be something in them that is harmful or used to make drugs. There are many medicines like that. One is Sudafed. Something in it can be used to make a very dangerous drug. The same thing could be true about the thing you found.

I don't think there are any illicit uses for Metoprolol Tartrate. It's typically prescribed for people with blood pressure problems and wouldn't offer any kind of "high."

could be. i would take them to the police and they'll take care of it.

Anything that interferes with your blood pressure can give a "high". Just like OTC cold medicine that seems to be so popular these days - yep, kids are getting "high" from it. I don't know anything about metoprolol tartate in particular though.

if the peolpe use the iligal drug be sure is dying thats true cuse he expereince my relative -

if you are smart you will destroy them asp and dont touch things you know nothing about ,put them in bin as out of danger of kids ,and your self and if you really need to know ask the chemist .
