Is it dangerous to be on multiple drugs at once, if needed?!

Question: I'm on the following: Claritin, Zyrtec, Advair daily for asthma. Sometimes add Atrovent, and Xopenex/Albuterol for emergencies, as well as Prendisone.

Ativan/Valium for anxiety.

Propecia/Rogaine for hair.

Vitamin Shoppe vitamins/supplements/herbals whenever for general health.

I recently had plastic surgery so I'm also now on Oxycontin, some Methyl'etc drug for inflammation, an antibiotic Ceplexin or something, .

Is taking all of this at once very very bad for you, or is it okay as long as its not prolonged?

It can be. This is why you should tell all your Doctors all of the Rx & OTC meds you take daily or regularly.

well over-doing it isn't good... go over these meds with your doctor and only take what is absolutley necessary... I mean I can't say for sure. It doesn't seem like you need this many... in fact I almost know you don't need this many

Yes of course it is dangerous..where should I start? The Prendisone is a steroid which will effect your body like crazy, ontop of that taking all this will definetlly have negative effects.

ask your doctor just to make sure..I'm pretty sure you should NOT take them all.

go to one of the millions of websites on drug interactions and check- or go into a Walgreen's and ask the Pharmacist on duty to check for you
