Are you getting shocks off everything in the house?!
Question: I feel like I am being electrocuted every time I turn off a light switch or the tv. I can actually see the blue spark sometimes. Is it because I like to wear slippers or is it the dry air of winter?

Me too, I'm getting shocks from everything in my house, including my cat! I just petted him a moment ago and thought I had electrocuted the both of us, lol! I think it does have a lot to do with the dry air of winter, and also the slippers - I'm wearing them too. But I also think some people are just more susceptible for some reason - I know I am, because this happens to me every year and it effects me more than anyone else I know. I can't even get a comb or brush near my hair before it flys up and stands on end and I can hear the crackles as I try to comb it - I end up having to wet the comb, or hairspray my hair to death (I'm female, BTW). Glad to know I'm not alone!
not in my house, but my car always shocks me
Wear cotton, not nylon.
Extra dryness plus fleece or fuzzy clothes equal ZAP
This due to the dry winter air and lack of humidity in your house. Go check your humidifier on your furnace or if you don't have one it might be good to get one.
I'm the same. Use body lotion, handcream... Use conditioner on your hair.... Use fabric softener on your clothes... Avoid acrillan or various manmade materials.
