Question: it still hurts my tonsils are swollen and i nothing is helping! its been like this for a week does anyone have any idea what it could be? im going to the doctors again today to see what they can do for me any ideas?

I had the same thing about a month ago, the doctor told me it was just a virus and you have to let it run its course....get plenty of sleep drink lots of liquids and I took vitamin C like it was my job you should be feeling better in a day or two!! Get well soon!!
The doctor will prescribe something expensive and won't want to see a artificially red throat so don't do this before
the appointment, but keep it in mind for future reference.
This is an old home remedy that actually works for sore throats. Take a cotton swab, soak in in Mercurochrome,
(the red stuff you put on a cut) and swab your throat. Try to keep it off the tongue, swab all round the little 'hangy down', and swallow. Works like immediately!
