Caffeine withdrawal symptoms?!

Question: I've gone from drinking around 8 cups of coffee a day, to only drinking 2. I'm suffering headaches and feel tired. Are these symptoms anything to do with this? How long will they last for if so? Thanks.

Yes, those are definitely related if you have just recently stopped drinking so much caffeine. They should dissipate within the next week or so.

Yep those are the symptoms of caffeine withdrawal. A bit like a cold minus the runny nose.

The withdrawal for me lasted three or four days.

It's worth it though. Once I'd got through the withdrawal and had no more caffeine in me, I slept so much better and woke up in the morning feeling so much more rested and energetic.

Yes you will get sharp headaches for a little while, ( may be a week or so) try drinking a little more water to help rehydrate you.
Do not reach for the headache tablets, they will only mask the pain.

Yes, that's normal. I weaned myself off slowly by mixing decaf and regular coffee, it helped a lot! I could really feel the difference for the better by the time I got to decaf only!

this part sucks so bad but yes you are going through withdraws. i tried to back off 1 soda a day till i got the results i wanted. or tough it out and carry a lot of aspirin.

Headaches, yes and tired. A week or two.
Perservere if u want to beat withdrawal symptoms.
Caffeien is quite a powerful stimulant.
