Answers: i saw an article about it in a magazine.

wanarexia is when girls who are not anorexic wish they were anorexic or try to *become* anorexic because they think it's cool, or because they would like to lose weight that way, or because they think it will get them attention.

It's basically something that people do for attention. Although sometimes it can actually lead to anorexia, which could be life threatening, so it's best to try to talk people out of it..

Wannarexia is a term used to describe young people, usually girls, who admire, want to be, and pretend to be anorexic, even though they are not. For them, the idea of anorexia has become romanticized, glamorous, and they want others to think they are struggling with this disease. I've also heard the term "pro ana," which I'm pretty sure is short for "pro anorexia."
