well you would almost certainly have pain and drainage from your ear. also fever, pain in your jaw ,behind your ear.
Unless you have an inner ear infection you may not have pain but you would have dizziness and the feeling of a clogged ear.You would also possibly lose your balance

if you drink through a straw do you hear a "popping" noise in your ear? if so then you have an ear infection.you do not always have to have pain.you may just feel like your ear has water in it or you may have no symptoms at all until it gets worse!
