Painful white spots in nose? Mom won't take me to doctor?!

Question: for the past 2 months or so, I've had a cut in my left nostril with scabs everywhere, and I've been sick so everytime I would blow my nose the scabs would slowly come off and it would bleed, for the whole 2 months it was like that. Some of the scabs are gone (for now) but now I have these white spots in my nose that are very painful and the left side of my nose is swollen. I keep telling my mom that I need to go to the doctor because my nose has been in soo much pain and I want it checked, but she won't take me, she never took me to the doctor, I dont know what her problem is. Does anyone know what the white spots are or know what I can do about my mom for her to take me to the doc? Thanks.
By the way, I'm female, 17 yr

There are many possible fungal and bacterial infections that can attack that area of the body. For the length of time this has continued it sounds like it is an infection and these some times can be very serious considering the proximity to the brain. It could possibly even be viral. Regardless, you really do need to go see an ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctor as soon as you can. If your mother won't take you, talk to the high school nurse and ask him/her for a suggestion to do this. In the meantime, in order to help prevent further/secondary infections, and to promote healing, you can take a little bit of triple antibiotic ointment (Neosporin), and gently swab to the inside of your nose using a Q-tip. You can also use a small amount of K-Y or other water based lubricant to help keep the inside of your nose moisturized.

Go to your school nurse and report this.

Go to your school teacher and report this.

Go to your school principal and report this.

Call child protective services and report this.

Tell the neighbors if they are trusthworthy.

A visit to the doctor is imperative in your case because you might have bacteria, something about to become worse. I don't mean to scare you, and I don't mean to sound rude, but if your mom isn't taking you to the doctor then you need to find a way to get there.

Perhaps it's because she doesn't have money, in this case you may ask your school nurse to provide you with a list of medical places that you can go to for free if you are of low income or for a lesser price than all those other places.

I hope you get better.

But please, GO TO THE SCHOOL NURSE at the very least.

Cant you take yourself to the doctor, thats what l would do, anyways sounds like you might have a really bad infection, if your mum wont take you go on your own, dont wait to much longer does'nt sound to good. Please go see a doctor.

You're old enough to go to the doctors by youself now.
