When members of your house are sick, colds, flu, etc ?!

Question: Do you think it's better for your house to be a little on the warm side or on the cool side. We are nearing the end of a cold/flu bout, which has tempted me to keep the house warm, but then we are also all coughing, which seems to increase if you get too warm, so am I better off keeping the house cooler?

Think like a hospital does...cooler the better. A warm, moist environment can keep bacteria and viruses alive longer than a cool, dry environment. If weather permits, try opening the windows to help circulate out the bad air. Periodically, wipe down light switches and door knobs with Clorox wipes to keep the bug away.

warmer but keep a humidifier increase mositure into the air... that should help with the coughing issue....
