I am sick and tired.....?!
Question: I am sick and I am very tired, but I can't sleep because I have a bad cough and I am congested, and wheezy. The only medicine I have in the house is DayQuil(Day Formula)...if I take it well it keep me up? or will I be able to fall asleep on it?

You definitely will not sleep if you take DayQuil. It is made so sick people can have enough energy to get through the day and do things like go to work. You will NOT sleep if you take that and the best thing for you now, is to sleep. Can you take a hot bath or shower to relax you and that will also help any body aches you have. If are not apposed to alcohol, take few sips of Bourbon to help your throat and relax you to sleep after you take a hot bath. Just don't take DayQuil, even if you are exhausted. You may fall asleep for 30 min.'s and then be right back up all night.
You may want to the night formula.
It certainly won't put you to sleep, but if it's all you have you could try it. If your cough is quelled, maybe you'll be so exhausted that your body will override the medicine's wakening effects. You could try some honey in hot water first... I've heard that it helps calm a cough.
