My joints hurt really bad. I am only 23. What could be wrong?!

Question: Every joint in my hand hurts....knuckles....joints at top of fingers...wrist.....elbows.... and it is hard to move my hands. what could be wrong with me? I am young so it shouldn't be arthritis right? My back hurts bad sometimes too. This only happens for 2-3 days at a time and then it will go away and return in a few weeks time and do the same thing again.

Unfortunately you are not too young for arthritis. Its less common in younger people but it can affect you in your teens and 20s too.
My sister started having problems with it at age 18. You should be tested for autoimmune problems. it might be lupus, arthritis, fibromyalgia or other things. See your doc and make sure he takes you seriously. It might be best to get in during an flare up

Sounds like arthritis. Go see a doctor.

Well you have to tread carefully on the subject of arthritis, because being young has nothing to do with it. Check this website out. I hope it helps you.

You really need to see your doctor.
Arthritis can attack at any age. I'm 50 years old. Never had this before. All of a sudden it came on.
I was just diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I had the same symptoms that you have for 7 weeks.
I went to a Rhuemotologist & had a series of many tests.
I'm on a lot of medicine right now. My fingers & hands still hurt & most of the swelling in my joints went down.
You can look this all up on www.webmd.com. This is a very good website.
Please go to your doctor & get tested.

the same thing happens to me. i'm 15 and believe it or not i was diagnosed with arthritis. it gets very painful. mine is also in my feet making it hard to walk. i suggest going to a rheumatologist. they prescribed me with medication and my arthritis is very under control. people think kids don't get arthritis but they do! get checked out because i know how you feel and it sucks
