What are some ways I can get exercise indoors?!

Question: I am in eighth grade and am going to start marching band next year and my mom said I need to get in shape for it. I am in all gifted classes and take tenth grade math. With that, I don't have time to exercise much between homework. When I finish my homework and can exercise it's dark outside. So I wondered if anyone knew good ways to exercise indoors. Thanks.

Treadmills are a way to get running done indoors, but if you don't have access to a treadmill there are other things you can do.
1.Push-ups and sit-ups are good exercises for inside, but I am not sure it will help you with marching band. You can do lunges or jog in place.
2.Our team does leg raises, where you lay on your back and lift both legs together off the floor about half a foot for fifteen seconds or more.
3.Also, you can increase calf muscles by simply standing up and with both feet together and staying in place, raise up on your tiptoes and let it back down. These tire you out real quickly.
One last thought, are there any lighted tracks near your home? We have a community park that has a lighted track so community members can work out at night or early in the morning?

treadmill.... i am in the 12th grade and i finished my marching band seasons, trust me that and buy an aerobics ball.... it only takes 30 per video.

Dancing is good; one of those exercise balls; follow the gurus on TV; WALK when you talk on the phone; trot up and down the steps...quietly please, so you don't get on parents nerves...LOL...Yoga is especially good too, and you can get tapes at library...be sure to start w/ "Beginners".
Good luck...

Sit-ups, push-ups...what do you think? Oh yeah, and having sex too. :)

Jump rope, elliptical, treadmill, rower, exercise ball, weights, sit-ups, and push-ups are some ideas.
