Drug Overdose?!

Question: What would happen if my friend who OD'd on beta blockers falls asleep? BTW she refuses to go to the hospital, shes alert but she has no memory other than occassional flashbacks and her heartbeat is really slow. Would she not wake up if i let her sleep?

Beta blockers slow heart beat & lower blood pressure. Don't let her fall asleep. You can just tell her you are calling 911, she may initially be angry, but she'll be alive. Just do it. Have the pill bottle there for ambulance so hosp. will know what she took.

if they slow her heart down and she o'd it could cause her to have heart failure. she'll be mad but it doesn't sound like she's at any point to resist. you could be saving her life and even if she's initially mad she'll be thankful in the end. call 911 immediately and take the pill bottle with you to the hospital for them to see.
