Any cough persisting more than a week, should be evaluated by a physician. Here are a few simple home remedies that will help to overcome cough. Have honey in a hot drink before bed time.To relieve fits of coughing due to dryness in the throat, suck a few pepper corns. Bronchitus is NOT fun...get to the doctor and ask for some codeine cough syrup (unless you're allergic) it's the only thing I can take to sleep through the night without hacking up a lung!

i dont know about the yellowish stuff, but i had his lingering fever and some suggested that their nutrionist had said to them it is important to have protein in the afternoon for a snack= ideally yogurt worked super well for me.. i kept feeling like i was getting slightly sick again and would take it and feel better a few hours later. this lasted over3months this thing until i tried that. alternatives are almonds and nuts etc, just a small serving for an afternoon snack :)

a teaspoon of honey and some ginger juice...........simple

drink water to help loosen and thin the mucus.
You can also try tapping on your chest for small periods of time to help the cilia (finger like lining in your lung) project the mucus out of your chest.
