Question: The Democrates promote universal health care as a means of providing affordable health coverage for childern and the elderly. Is the reality of universal health care totaly different? Does it provide needles and drugs for drug addicts, abortion on demand, free health care for illegal aliens, expensive aids treatsments, condomes in the schools and meds and treatments for every person that makes poor choices? (ex. smokers, drug users, alcoholics, gay lifestyles etc....) And then expects the taxpayers to foot the bill for their choices.

Ask Canadians, they have and have had universal health care for some time.

i know one thing, i have not heard a candidate mention anything about needles for drug addicts

So, in some countries the minimum residency requirements are one must have a checking account; one must have health insurance. There are different levels of coverages on health insurance policies afforded by different premiums.
And, it has been my observation while visiting a country with mandated health insurance, that making a social statement with a big house or a flashy car is not such a predominant trait.
I takes a simplistic intellect to not realize the goal of globilization, the "war" on drugs, or corporate welfare is a large consumer population with limited income.
You might as well get universal health while you can and stipulate the health care is only for citizens.
The drift of your question would suggest you would be comfortable in the lower tiered insurance policy whereby you wait in a clinic with impoverished mothers, drug users, alcoholics, gays and smokers.
1. We already pay for those who make poor health choices. Hospitals must treat emergencies, medicad helps the poor, medicare covers, liver disease, kidney disease, HIV/AIDS and of course the retirees on SSN.
2. Universal health care is working in Canada, England, the Scandavian coutries.
3. By the way, a gay lifestyle is not necessarily unhealthy. It obvious you have some bigoted and firmly held ideas
4. Universal means that people get treatment earlier and the imapct of the disease is less. Why do you think insurance plans have a co-pay. To discourage use and save insurance companies money.
5.Look at the high cost of medical research funded by the tax payer that yields procedures/medicines that the wealthy can afford, but not the average taxpayer.
6. Look at the pre-tax healthcare accounts that are available to some who work with major compaines. Again, subsidized by tax payers.
7. Early child health care reduces the long run health care costs of people.
8. Sick people, regardless of immigration status can spread disease, work less productively, and then may need emergency care.
