For those who choose to take antidepressants...?!
Question: Have they really helped you out with your depression? Or are you really zombie like to where you have no emotion towards anything? I am seriously asking. thx in advance.

I had post natal depression and couldn't function, not even take a shower properly with out getting some kind of help, my lovely Doctor put me on Aropax (paxil) it was only 20mg once a day, but enough that the veil lifted and I could make sense of what I was feeling and doing. If the prescribed drugs make you feel zombie ish then you need a different type. I know that Zoloft is another widely used antidepressant, both my sister and mother have been on them at different times. If it wasn't for the Aropax I would have been zombie and I did have emotion, but it was crying and sad all the time.
Prozac worked good for me.
It didn't make me drowsy or "zoombiish", just back to myself.
Helped me also to fight bulimia.
I am on Paxil. It makes me quite the opposite of being brain dead. It has lifted my spirits and makes it possible to cope with life's problems.

Go to this site(written by pharmacists) and when you get it up, click on the medications tab. find the medication and it will tell you all about what it is not compatible with along with a lot of other info.

Not a Zombie, I don't have extreme anger issues or anxiety attacks there are some poor side effects especially if your a man, probably should have had some sooner.
