It sounds like you may have the flu or possible pnuemonia. If the sputum is thick or you can't get any up when you cough, I would lean more toward pneumonia. Please, you really need to go to your doctor. If it's pneumonia, you need antibiotics. It really concerns me that it hurts you to breath.

Symptoms of the flu may include the following but you may not have all of them.
Fever (usually high)
Headache
Tiredness (can be extreme)
Cough
Sore throat
Runny or stuffy nose
Body aches
Diarrhea and vomiting (more common among children than adults)

ebola

I don't think the throw up is related. I think you have a bronchial infection. You will need antibiotics to help you get over it.

It could be the flu, or it could just be a virus or chest infection. If the phlegm is really bad (i.e. yellow or green in colour) you may need antibiotics. We can't have you get pneumonia or bronchitis, now can we?

Either way get well soon!

You will need to see your doctor to find out exactly what illness you have, but you sound very sick indeed!
