How to get rid of my cold without taking any cold medicines?!

Question: You know, cold medicines are deigned just to stop making you feel the itchy nose and the fever, they aren't designed to "cure" the infection. A cold will last just as long with or without them. I still take them if I have back pain though.

Just treat it the granny way: sleep, watch tv or play a videogame, eat chicken soup, drink a lot of fluids even if you're not thirsty (it avoids an ordinary viral cold from turning into a hard to treat bacterial infection) and rest in a non ventilated room. Do wash your hands a lot if you're going to come in contact with other people. Later on clean up stuff everyone uses like a remote control too. Nobody wants to get infected.

Plants with a lot of vitamin C can make the cold go away faster: lemons, oranges, chiles or guayabas can do.

Put on a bunch of clothes, drink something hot, and sleep(you will sweat it out)

Rest, drink lots of fluids, and take medications to deal with your symptoms. Antibiotic medications do nothing against the cold virus, and it really irritates me when they are used for colds, so good for not wanting them.
