Sounds like the frontal suture you are feeling. It usually closes by the age of six. If he is reaching all his milestones and is otherwise fit, healthy and growing normally it is unlikely to be anything to worry about. However, it will do no harm, (and will put your mind at rest) to let your GP or Health visitor have a look.

Sometimes it looks like that when they are very young, then they kinda grow to catch up with their head. Then they get alittle older, and it seems to kinda smooth out better.

I'd take the boy to the doctor. Wouldn't hurt to get a professional's opinon on this.

You should get a professional opinion from a doctor if you are able to. I've never had kids, so I can't really help, but I hope everything turns out well :)

kids have wierd, unattractive, phases...he will be fine.

Michelle: Have you seen an Obstetrician, because what you have described, indeed sounds a little strange? If it were my youngster, he'd be at a doctor's appointment. It may be nothing serious, but it sounds that you have some concerns for your son, so, to play it safe, get him to a doctor?!. I wish you the very best for the both of you!!

I have a dent in my forehead over my left eye. When younger I had a cist growing over the skull and it has dented my skull slightly, but nothing threatening. I had it removed under general and it grew back, then a local doctor tried under a local and it refused to budge, then I had a general again and the thing was removed. This time they got it all and all that remains is a slight dent and a small scar. I no longer look like I've been punched in the face. ;)

It is definitely worth having checked out, just to be on the safe side.
