Why does air build up in my stomach when I sleep?!
Question: Half of the time I sleep in my study hall because I do homework in the mornings (don't ask why), so I sleep. When I am sleeping on a desk air begins to build up, and I wake up and I have to sit up and basically breathe/burp it out. I was wondering if anybody had any idea what I was talking about or why it happens.

you are swallowing air without being conscious of it.
the technical term is--aerophagia.emotional stress could be the cause.
you may or may not be an alien
I've heard of a condition where the person swallows air inadvertently while awake and asleep. Perhaps you have this. I don't think it's that serious but you could see a doctor.
I suspect you are snoring a bit, and are forcing some air down your esophagus as a result.
