What happens when you die.I know what happens to the body but what about the sel!

Question: Is there any evidence

Answers: Is there any evidence

Do you believe in reincarnation? If you do, your spirit will find another person that has no soul, will enter and become a new person again. This is what I have been taught. I have seen a reincarnated little girl in the body of her sister. I know it sounds very wierd, but it is a fact! One of my dearest friends had me over to her housefor dinner one night and as we were talking, her daughter spoke up and said to her momand I, " I remember when we went on the biggest roller coaster there. Do you remember mom, you were so scared and held onto my hand so tight , I thought you were going to break my fingers." My friend asked her, what roller coaster and Brit-her daughter-said ,"The one at Walt Disneyland" Brit had never been to Disneyland, but hersister Teresa, had! That evening, Brit said a lot about where she had been with her mother and older sister, Wendy. That was a freaky night for me, but everything that Brit had said, was all because her soul was that of her sister, Teresa!! Yes, there is a series on TV called "Paranormal State" I watched it once were you could actually SEE the ghosts that were in the owner's home. Think about it!!

The reason this is so disputed is because their is no evidence.

Your guess is as good as mine.

The self is part of your mind as well as the spirit and when we die we go back into the great circle of life on this planet as our remains provide food for other species.

The self is the output of the body. It's the genes that you inherit from your ancestors, it's the environment in which you live, and it's the food you put into your body--all that, which creates and shapes and sustains the self. Once the body ceases, I believe the self ceases. Some people have a religious faith that says there's a part that lives on; I don't believe that in any way. I think it's wishful thinking. I don't begrudge them their fantasy, but I'm fine thinking I will just be gone some day. I live in a way to try and make a difference now. Some say they have had near-death experiences, where they see a light, loved ones who have passed, etc., but there are many learned opinions that say those are the normal impulses in the brain as oxygen is deprived, consciousness is lost, and things like that. The only evidence is superstitious belief on one side and medical investigation on the other. Nobody knows for sure. Nobody CAN know for sure.

"The Bible presents death as separation: physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God." There's more at:

It totally depends on what you believe. Most religions believe in life after death and some believe in reincarnation. And some believe that when you are dead, your dead, no soul, no "self", just dead. As far as evidence, I have read some books where people have died while in hospital, etc. and have watched the doctors working on them and seeing relatives that have passed and then being pulled back into their bodies. Does that prove there is a soul? That again depends on what you believe. The people it has happened to truly believe what they saw and went through. Its open to interpretation.

That's the 64 million dollar question my friend.

make yourself comfortable and close your eyes , take deep breaths hold them for a count of 5 let them out slowly , imagine you are walking in the county side , make your way to a pool with crystal clear water relax and bathe in this water and imagine all your stress is disappearing into the water. you should feel more relaxed after this. good luck.

That depends on your chosen religious or non religious point of view.
If you're a god botherer you'll have been taught that it goes to heaven or hell.
If you're Bhuddist it will be re-incarnated again and again until you achieve enlightenment.
If you're non religious and realistic then you really ought to question if there really is a self at all.

Because you're different to everybody else doesn't mean it's something to do with a mystical "soul" or self, it's what has affected you that makes you individual. If you must believe you have a self then give it the same fate as your body - it'll rot away to nothing.

Of course this is just my opinion and I have no more evidence than anybody else to back it up, but then I'm not asking you to worship anything in an attempt to hedge your bets when you die, and I'll never ask you to say I'm 100% right and everybody else is 100% wrong - aren't I nice. ;)
.

In my experience there's no real scientific evidence that the 'self' has an existence after death.

But then again, there's no real scientific evidence that it doesn't either.

So I'm in the 'open to conjecture' lobby.

Our soul live's on....

Nothing. That's yer lot. Wormfood.

There's no evidence, because a never once has a dead person been brought back to life and has told us what happened to them.
