UTI's can be painful but they are easy to treat - I had one it seemed every month when I was younger. If you go to your drugstore you can get over the counter medication now to treat a bladder infection - so you don't have to wait to get into the doctors office - some other things you can do are:

Drink lots of water, allowing the the bladder to cleanse itself.

Cranberry juice has been shown to have positive effects on UTIs. DON'T use the kind of juice that says "Juice Cocktail" on the label. That has too much sugar and is not concentrated enough with cranberries. Make sure the cranberry juice is 100% juice, many brands are now 100% cranberry. Quality cranberry juice produces hippuric acid in the urine which acidifies the urine and prevents bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder. If pure cranberry juice is not available, cranberry capsules can be substituted. They can be found in most health food stores. Always take these with a large glass of water.

Vitamin C is also recommended.

You can take ibuprofen for the pain that you have now but I would get to the drugstore and start taking the meds so you start to feel yourself again.

One last point that I just thought of - make sure you are not allergic to Sulfa - that is the active ingredient in the meds that you will get from the drugstore. I am allergic to it so I always have to go to the docs to get my medication.

Sometimes if you drink a lot of pure cranberry juice that can help. There is also an over the counter medicine called Azo that can help relieve your symptoms a lot better until you can make it to your doctor to get an antibiotic. Good luck!

get somthing from the drug store. i dont remember what its called. but there is lots of stuff to make the pain go away.
and drink tons of cranberry juice.
if it doesnt go away you need to go to the doctor. especially if you are sexually active.

if you engage in sexual activity the skin cells run off then when you pee they are sharp and may hurt on way out

If you can't see a doctor right away, here's a couple tips...

1. Keep very hydrated
2. Avoid sugars
3. Urinate as often as possibles
4. Drink 100% Cranberry juice
5. Take Cranberry Capsules
6. Keep hydrated!!! :)

Make sure to monitor it. If you see any blood in your urine, get to a hospital as it can be a sign that the UTI has traveled to your kidneys.

Take some ibuprophen...that should help. And you can also go to the drug store and buy something called AZO or Cystex. They both contain something that kills the pain, but you can also benefit from drinking cranberry juice...and the more you dilute your urine the better, so drink a bunch of water...if you wear contacts, don't wear them for 6-8 hours after taking the AZO or Cystex...a friend of mine did and her contacts turned an orangish color, which the doctor says is normal, but it stained them that color.

cranberry juice...no caffeine, so no coffee or soda...but u need to get to an emergency clinic to get started on antibiotics...it's especially important in girls...go get the meds now dear

go your doctor plis plis.

Maybe try taking like a pain reliever, but your going to have to go to doc. I mean your probably going to need some sort of antibiotic. Try drinking cranberry juice or buying those cranberry pills. and drink lots water.. hang in there i knw what your feeling... been there and my goodness.

go to walgreens, there are pills "urinary track" on label take 2 pills with water, tommorrow u should feel better and don't worry u will be ok.

Do you have fever? UTI comes with fever. Go see a doctor. It may be a scratch on your uterus, it may be something worse. This is no medical facility, your health is important, keep that in mind and tell your doctor.
