If your body doesn't even except water after that, then your really sick and should ask a doctor.
I think it's a common reaction. Not only do I get the trembles but I also break out in a cold sweat. I believe it's a reaction to being sick.

Before I even vomit I am already trembling, I get cold sweats, I panic and when I vomit I get the gag reflex which makes it even worse for me. I am a very nervous guy when it comes to vomiting I hate it almost to the point of developing a whole new phobia, but now I have medication that takes the nausea away I wish I had known about this medication earlier in my life. I have seen some people having absolutely no trouble vomiting I think it all depends on the person and the reason why they are vomiting that makes the difference on how people react. Anyway thats my theory I might be wrong.
