Weird Headache?!

Question: Im after some advice. For the past 3 weeks i've had a constant headache from morning until night that gradually gets worse during the day. Its not a painful headache just an anoyance, like a dull headache. Best way to descibe it is to list the symptoms which are Brain Fog, nausea, gets worse when I stand up, cannot balance well when standing and a general feeling of being in a dream! My concentration levels have dropped aswell to the point where i'll just drift off into a daydream constantly. Last week I spent a few days in hospital, with the worst Migraine I have ever experienced and am wondering if this is linked? I've been going to the doctors, who are stumped and am awaiting a Neurologist appointment. When i take Codeine Phosphate it seems to make it go away, but I dont want to take them all the time, I juts want it gone! I know it sounds strange, but what is it. Please help,

Thanks

I obviously can't know what is causing these headaches from an internet post, but I can tell you my experience with headaches, and you can make of it what you want.

In January 2004 when I was 18 I got a migraine one day, and it did not go away for almost a month. After that, I continued to have migraines almost every day. After about a year, I finally went to a doctor who diagnosed me with chronic migraine but did not have the knowledge to successfully treat me. She referred me to a neurologist with a clinical interest in headaches who also tried to help me but also did not have the appropriate knowledge. The neurologist finally referred me to a neurologist in the area who operated a headache clinic. After months of trying different medicines, we finally found one that helped decreases the frequency of the heaches in July 2006. I moved to a new city and started going to a new headache specialist last year and am still searching for a medicine that can further improve my headaches.

The thing that struck me as odd is that through this whole process, not one of the doctors expressed interest in the fact that the migraines started so suddenly. Maybe this is not unusual. It does seem strange to me though.

I'm not trying to alarm you or anything. You could have a totally different problem than what I have. I guess what I'm trying to say is keep trying until you find something that helps, and know that you are not alone in your daily struggle with headaches.
