Maybe tell her the effect it has on the inside of her body, it can damage your heart and bowels amongst other things that keep her body functioning. Anorexia is a disease and they dont see there body for what it actually is so you done want to make her feel worse in anyway by saying her body looks bad. She needs professional help if she is suffering from anorexia, i hope you can encourage her to seek that help.

I think you should advise your friend on how to get some help if you are concerned, rather than trying to scare her with a body image more frightening than the one she already sees. If she is genuinely anorexic, she is not doing it through choice, it is an illness that needs to be treated.

Check out her wrists are they really boney?

Well they are very boney also it hurts when they sleep (Says people must do with bones sticking out)

My mums friend was anorexic and she had to have her lung removed i think..

Also it will be the worse mistake EVER you gain loads of weight on your bum and your stomach when you put it on.

I am not anorexic now but suffered from it a few years ago, my body was horrible it actually hurt to sit down because the bones were poking out everywhere. If your friends has yellowy skin then she needs help now this is not something she can fix on her own she needs professional help.

Anorexia can cause dry, flaky skin that takes on a yellow tinge. Fine, downy hair grows on the face, back, arms, and legs. Despite this new hair growth, loss of hair on the head is not uncommon. Nails can become brittle. Frequent vomiting can erode dental enamel and eventually lead to tooth loss.

Whilst it's good that you're looking for ways to help your friend I don't think what you're doing will help, anorexia is a mental illness, she needs serious help.
