Describe a hospital room?!

Question: how you describe a hospital room, using the experiencs you've had. Maybe it bought you pleasure when your child was born, but maybe its bought you sadness, if someone has died or you've suffered from illnesses. How would you describe that room in detail?

Cold. Sterile. Basic. Functional
Faded walls with streaks where it had been cleaned. ditto with the checked linolium on the floor. Plenty of room to move about, but nowhere to get comfortable

...that's how I remember it from my most recent visit, where my other half gave birth to my youngest son

well back in august-ish.. i was in a dark hospital room, tubes were everywhere, i felt really trapped and just wanted to go home, my mom and dad were really dissapointed and it took the whole feeling of the room, everything was white, the walls, tiled floor, it was clean but it still felt dirty, it was all really a dream it felt like im sorry if this isnt what you wanted. btw i was in there bc of an OD.

Horrible. However, I was below ground, cold and sterile, in a room where I had to identify the dead body of my Aunty.Cold, everything was made from stainless steel, very clean thogh, almost too clean considering all but 3 people were dead down there. Although - the ward where my sister was after having apendicitis was nice. Warm, colourful, sterile, lots of people, beds, light... Loads of nurses and other people. Cant really describe it any furher - although it was very moderm, bright, BIg and the TV's on the roof were cool so that then you were ling on the bed you could watch it.

Stark, sterile, intimidating.

It sure is not holiday inn.

i would describe a hospital room as boring ,dull and sterile . i feel peoples mood would improve with bright colours and pictures and in return a brighter mood can make you feel better . but then again a hospital room is not meant to be the hilton is it .
