What to eat?!


Question: Hey there, so I am sick today, with a sore throat, a bad cough, and my period. yay, anyways, it's almost 1:00pm here, and I'm thinking I need to eat something, does anybody know of any good ideas besides soup and that kind of stuff that I can eat that'll be easy on my stomach?

You definitely need somthing warm....first because your throat will feel better, and because if you eat something cold your somach might get a bit upset due to your period. Do you like mashed potatoes with gravy...that sounds good, how about roasted chicken??? or mac and cheese???

    Bland rice

    Crackers and soda. They are just as good or better then soup, and tast! Yum! :-)

    If you have a stomach upset, try drinking flat coca cola. It helps heal your tummy and you'll feel better

    Warm Gingerale, Chicken Noodle Soup, Thera-Flu or Nyquil and a lot of rest. You'll be fine in a couple of days.

    tummy feel much better

    Dry Toast with a little bit of margarine or Potato Soup.

    Try some jello or applesauce. Stay away from dairy since it will only help you to produce more phlegm. Drink some hot tea, juices, and plenty of water.

    try a grilled cheese sandwich and some sprite. Or pretzels and a pepsi. Drnking carbonated soda always helps my stomach to settle.

    Fresh raw vegetables, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. Add a salad dressing you like, and your home free.

    You need to eat some Mash Potatoes. Eat that warm. Take some Nyquil so you can go to sleep.

    The readers all have good answers but you said "besides soup" and I suppose any 'drink'. Try Hot oatmeal with a dash of cinnamon, it tastes good and will fill you up. Drink distilled or filtered water and stay in bed to rest. That is all you can do until it runs its course.
