I don't know that it's allergies- But it certainly is a reaction.

Some chemicals can cause a certain amount of moodiness in people, and certain food additives and dyes have been known to cause behavior problems in kids. So there is precedence for what you're experiencing.

Tell your doctor about it so you can get something else.

Good luck!

Was the other medicine ergotamine maybe? It is sometimes used to treat migraines. It is possible that the feelings you had may have been a side effect of the medicine you received. I have had similar side effects when I have been treated for migraines.

If the drug you were given has been known to cause anxiety, the Benadryl may have been given to you to combat it (anti-histamines can also work as anti-anxiety drugs).

If you ever have to be treated for a migraine again, be sure to mention this experience to the doctor. They may be able to give you something different, or may give you some other anti-anxiety medicine along with the other drug causing the problem.
