I need to stop yawning! Any suggestions?!

Question: I know the obvious, like "Get some sleep" will pop up, but it's not so easy at the moment. I haven't slept in five nights because I've just had a tonsillectomy and I'm in a fair bit of pain. Yawning is EXCRUITIATING. Anyone know of a way to supress a yawn?

Geez, i'm sorry you are in so much pain. please don't snicker or laugh at the advice i am about to give until you've at least given it a shot. People are too medicine happy these days and sometimes accidentally tend to miss what is just plain old commen sense.............. Are you dehydrated?? Yawning is also a rather large signal that your body is desperately trying to breathe and without being properly hydrated it is an awfully large task for it to do ......... along with lubricating your joints, transporting vital nutrients and vitamins, flushing out toxins etc.etc.etc.............. drink more fresh filtered water, maybe that's the tonic you need??
?hmmmm ~ maybe all the painkillers are robbing you of your B complex of vitamins and causing the insomnia?? have you got a multi B complex supplement you can take handy?? Or simply eating something rich in Tryptophan, such as turkey or chicken on a sandwich with a nice cup of herbal chamomile tea will do the trick for you ........ if you can swallow it that is !!?Tryptophan will help induce natural sleep and reduce pain sensitivity ..... also it acts as a nondrug antidepressnat, and alleviates migraines and aides in reducing anxiety and stress !! Bingo??!!
